Dallan and I don’t agree on a ton but hey, at least we can agree on the five best teams in football…although it may be in different orders.
Los Angeles (both teams I guess), Kansas City, New Orleans, Minnesota, and New England should all feel great about their football teams. We’re nearly halfway through the season and I think it’s safe to say that two of those teams will be in the Super Bowl (I’m a BIT biased but I’d pick LA and New England right now).
As expected, once the leaves turned colors and the temperatures dip, so do the Bengals. They’re out of both Dallan and I’s top tens. Sayonara Cincy!
The Bears may have lost their last two but they gained some respect on Sunday.
My buddy Keats who I’ve mentioned before told me a few weeks ago, “that’s when you find out if your team is the real deal, if you can beat the Pats.”
They didn’t beat the Pats but they came up a yard short of going to overtime with them so they earn that “real deal” seal of approval by me at least.
Speaking of nearly going to overtime, we had a clash between Baltimore and New Orleans this week that was an extra point away from going to OT. Justin Tucker is usually money but he shanked the extra point (his first missed XP ever) after Flacco led a last second, game tying drive against the Saints.
The Redskins are quietly 4-2 and in first place of the NFC East. For that I slid them into my #9 spot. Welcome to the top ten Washington.
Dallan’s slippery team this week is the Texans who have rattled off four straight wins and are in first place in the AFC South.
